Join Us in Celebration of 50 Years of Faith and Worship!

Dear Friends in Christ:

On behalf of the United Church of Huntsville, we invite you to join us in celebrating our 50th anniversary the weekend October 2-3, 2010. We hope you will be able to be with us to renew friendships, relive the past, and see our vision for the future.  This letter is to provide you with the registration materials for meals and child care, the schedule of events, and information regarding some local motels.  It will be our pleasure to welcome you and provide hospitality for all.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

SATURDAY

2 pm.  Church opens for sign in, casual gathering and visiting.

4 pm. until 5:30 pm.  Open microphone for stories of memories, events, discussions, etc.

5:30 pm.  Child care available until 10 pm.

6:00 pm.  Gather to get meal instructions and say grace for the meal.  Transportation will
                 be available to the immediately adjacent church where the meal and the rest of
                 the evenings activities will take place.

6:30 pm.  Serving of the meal will start.

7:30 pm.  (More or less)  Evening program will commence.

10:00 pm.  Child care will end.

SUNDAY

11:00 am.  Worship service.  Lunch (Disciple Dogs) afterward.  Vegetarian dogs will be available. Carry out boxes available.

 Please fill out the registration form (available by clicking here) including each person attending and return it with your check to the United Church at 7906 Whitesburg Dr, Huntsville AL 35802, ATTN: Billie Krone. The registration fee will be $20 per person to defray the cost of the Saturday evening dinner, the Sunday afternoon lunch, and intermediate munchies.  Please understand that the Saturday night dinner is a catered meal.  We must know how many meals should be prepared as we cannot pull off a last minute “loaves and fishes”.   When you arrive and sign in you will receive a meal ticket that will be required for the dinner. This applies to all ages. If you have indicated on the registration form that you will have a child (children) in child care and not attending the dinner, there will be a light supper provided for them. 

Please note that child care and light supper will be provided only if you indicate the need  on your registration form.
