CASA

This fall a fantastic group of hard workers built a ramp for an elderly Mrs. Smith way out in the cotton fields. The adults and the teens worked side by side, whistling while we worked, enjoying good fellowship while lending a helping hand or hammer, and warming our hearts by helping others.

We built the ramp in cooperation with CASA, a community agency that works with elderly and handicapped persons who are home bound. CASA identifies people who need ramps and sets up a mutually workable date. Don’t worry about not having carpentry skills! CASA also arranges for an experienced ramp builder to provide direction.
